The heat out west has turned deadly. A motorcycle rider died Saturday while riding with a group through Death Valley, California, where it was a record 128 degrees. Another rider was hospitalized. It was so hot that a medical helicopter wouldn't help because they can't safely fly when it's hotter than 120. Las Vegas also set a record of 120 degrees.

Unfortunately, it's only going to get hotter this week. Death Valley is forecast to hit 130 degrees -- just four degrees shy of the hottest temperature ever recorded on Earth, which was also in Death Valley.
