Philly native and "Abbott Elementary" creator and star Quinta Brunson was honored with a major award Tuesday night from Temple University: the 2024 Lew Klein Award for Excellence in Media.

She will also receive an honorary degree on Wednesday after addressing the graduating class of 2024 at their commencement.
