Police say an 18-year-old is dead after a quadruple shooting Saturday evening in the Cedar Park area of West Philadelphia. Two 17-year-olds and a 22-year-old were also wounded when gunmen shot at them in front of a home on South 51st Street near Warrington Avenue, according to authorities.
All four victims were male. Authorities believe they may have been celebrating a graduation.
The 18-year-old was shot in the face. He was taken to a hospital where he died less than a half-hour later.
One of the 17-year-olds is in critical condition after being shot four times. The other two victims were each shot once and are in stable condition.
Homes and parked cars on both sides of the street were struck by gunfire, according to officials.
Inspector D.F. Pace says the relationships between the victims are not yet clear.
A weapon was recovered at the scene, and investigators are working to identify suspects.
