Philadelphia area students are preparing to become teachers by learning about the significance of Juneteenth, a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. A special program developed by the Penn Museum and Forum Philly, a nonprofit focused on faith, law and civics, is encouraging young people to go back to their communities and share what they know.
