Darker tinted windows could really cost you, starting today in Philadelphia.

Police and the Parking Authority can issue fines up to $100 for illegal tints -- those allowing less than 70 percent of light to pass through.

City Council says tinting added by carmakers typically complies with this rule, but issues may arise with aftermarket installation.

Mayor Parker signed the ordinance into law in May.
