Democrats in the Pennsylvania state House have taken a step toward possibly expelling state Rep. Kevin Boyle. Democrats are proposing a process to determine if state representatives are incapacitated and to sanction or expel them. They're trying to determine what incapacitated could mean.
Republican leader Brian Cutler called the proposal a complicated answer to a simple problem.
This is all in response to the news this week that Boyle has an active arrest warrant out for him for an alleged violation of a protection from abuse order (PFA). He has still not surrendered to police.
Republicans say Democrats should simply put Boyle on leave.
