In northern Mexico, at least nine people were killed and 60 people were injured in a stage collapse during a campaign rally. A strong gust of wind knocked everything over during an event that was attended by a presidential longshot candidate.

Videos of the dramatic collapse posted to social media last night show people screaming and running away and then climbing out from under metal poles. Mexico's current president says he's sending a "hug" to all who were injured.

Campaign season in Mexico has been plagued by the killings of about two dozen candidates. A mayoral candidate and five other people were killed just last week when gunmen opened fire at a campaign rally in southern Mexico.

9 dead, dozens injured after stage collapse at Mexico campaign rally

All permanent lanes of I-95 in the Northeast are set to reopen, less than a year after the deadly crash that caused the highway to collapse. The four permanent southbound lanes opened overnight. The northbound side is expected to open early Friday morning, just in time for the holiday weekend. Gov. Josh Shapiro and top state and federal highway officials will be on Cottman Avenue Thursday morning to commemorate it.

The highway collapsed last June when a tanker truck crashed on an underpass and burst into flames. The driver was killed and the highway collapsed, but crews were able to open temporary lanes just 12 days later.
