A Republican from Montgomery County said he was swatted after expressing his support for Democrat Kamala Harris.

Matthew McCaffery, the Republican municipal chair in Upper Merion Township, shared home security video on X showing officers patting him down on his front porch Saturday night. He said after he appeared on CNN Friday to discuss his decision not to support former President Donald Trump, someone called the police to his house. That act is known as swatting — falsely calling the cops to someone’s address.

McCaffery said Upper Merion police are looking into the incident as a “politically motivated crime.”
