Philly's waterways are the healthiest they've been in 150 years, but there's more to do

Police have identified the body that was pulled from Wissahickon Creek on Tuesday as 18-year-old Quadir Diaz. Diaz and his friend Ausar Scott-Thomas were reported missing on March 7. Investigators say Diaz appeared to be in the water for a while, and there were no visible signs of trauma on his body. Scott-Thomas’ body was found in the Schuylkill River on March 31.

The victims’ families say the two were with a third person the night they went missing, but police haven’t said if that person has anything to do with their deaths, or whether foul play was involved.
