A 33-year-old man was shot several times outside his ex-girlfriend’s house in East Germantown early Thursday morning, investigators said. Police responded to multiple 911 calls around 1:30 a.m. to the intersection of Wister Street and Church Lane.
“There were six spent shell casings,” said Chief Inspector Scott Small. “All six of the spent shell casings were just a few inches or a few feet from the victim’s body, so clearly, the shooter or shooters were standing very close to this victim.”
The man is in a critical condition at the hospital.
Investigators have not yet determined a motive for the shooting, and no one is in custody. Small said the victim was known to stay at his ex-girlfriend’s house. Police are looking through surveillance video to figure out what happened.
