One of the country's most storied musical instrument retailers is closing its stores. Sam Ash announced today that it will "begin store closing sales," and a message on its website says all sales are final starting today. 

Last month, Sam Ash closed its flagship in Manhattan. No date has been given for when all the stores are expected to close. The 100-year-old company was started in Brooklyn and has been family-owned the whole time.   

There are three Sam Ash stores in our area -- Cherry Hill, King of Prussia, and the Philadelphia Mills Mall.
