SEPTA is advising customers that changes to most of its regional rail schedules went into effect on Sunday, January 7. Riders are encouraged to check the schedules for new departure and arrival times.
Some changes of note:
• Chestnut Hill East — Six midday trains restored to provide weekday hourly service
• Wilmington/Newark — Significant adjustments to accommodate Amtrak bridge work in the Chester area
• Warminster — Significant adjustments due to Willow Grove Station construction
SEPTA officials say these changes will maintain regional rail service at 77% of pre-COVID levels, and regional rail ridership has returned gradually and is currently at about 58% of pre-pandemic levels.
