A Bucks County man is charged with stealing nearly $200,000 from a parked car while the owner of the vehicle was inside a Bensalem gas station.
Authorities say 43-year-old Christopher Plytas broke the back seat window of the victim's 2017 Tesla and stole a box of cash that was inside.
The car owner runs a gaming machine company and, according to police, was servicing a machine at the Conoco Gas Station at Knights and Dunks Ferry roads around 5 p.m. Monday when the theft occurred.
Bensalem police were able to identify Plytas through the license plate on the white Kia Optima he fled in. They arrested him at his apartment complex in Croydon.
Plytas is charged with theft and related offenses.
