The Newtown Little League team's run in Williamsport has come to an end. Council Rock-Newtown lost to Hawaii 3-1 on Tuesday in elimination play at the Little League World Series. Hawaii's starting pitcher was considered by many to be one of the best in the tournament and did his job to shut down Council Rock's hitters.

The kids didn't go down without a fight, though. They had the winning run at the plate with two outs in the final inning, but they couldn't finish the deal.

The team comes back to Newtown today, where they'll be greeted with a welcome home party from a very proud Bucks County community.
