President Joe Biden is adamant about staying in the race, as he made clear while campaigning Friday evening in Detroit. And, the president made a point of addressing Donald Trump's character.
Biden called Trump a convicted criminal, a rapist, and a bad businessman with six bankruptcy filings. He said his opponent has no regard for democracy.
Biden closed his speech by criticizing Trump's donor-backed Project 2025, which outlines cuts to Medicare and Social Security.
However, Biden is facing major pushback from within his own party. So far, nearly 20 congressional Democrats, including one senator, have publicly called on Biden to drop out of the race.
