A 72-year-old South Philadelphia woman was injured and a dog died after a shooting Thursday evening in South Philly.

Police say someone fired a gun just before 5 p.m. on the 1200 block of Porter Street.

The woman was grazed by a bullet, according to investigators, and was taken to the hospital where she's considered stable.

A dog was also hit by a bullet and killed. Bella’s distraught owner said the pup was just a year and a half old.

Police had several separate areas along Porter Street cordoned off during the investigation.

Nobody was arrested at the scene and no gun was immediately found.
