Burlington County police charged an elderly man in the death of his wife inside their apartment.

Police say they got a call to an apartment complex in Moorestown Sunday just before 3 p.m. and found 73-year-old Linda Slavin dead in the bedroom.

Police arrested her husband, 73-year-old Gerald Slavin, at the scene. Investigators later determined the victim was strangled to death.

Gerald faces first-degree murder and aggravated assault charges.
