A 4-year-old girl was injured after police say she was involved in a shooting inside an East Mount Airy home. It happened around 7 p.m. Thursday.

Police say the little girl had a gunshot wound to her stomach after she got ahold of a gun. She was handling it when it discharged, NBC10 reported. She was driven to the hospital and is expected to be OK, per officials.

Investigators say no arrests were made at the time of the shooting and a firearm wasn't immediately located.
