The jury deliberated for about an hour and a half Monday. Jerry Butler, 29, and Daquan Allen, 30, were convicted of second-degree murder for the Jan. 20 robbery and murder of 35-year-old William Carter at Wood and Powell streets in Norristown. They both face mandatory life in prison. Damon Brantley, 18, was convicted of first-degree murder, as he pulled the trigger, killing Carter. KYW Suburban Bureau Chief Jim Melwert has more.
