A sobering new report on the air that we breathe: Nearly 2 in 5 Americans live with unhealthy levels of air pollution, and the U.S. saw a record number of days between 2020 and 2022 with very unhealthy or hazardous air. That's according to a new report from the American Lung Association.
It also found that climate change, which is fueling wildfires, drought and dust storms, is not only worsening air quality, but also making pollution increasingly difficult to address. Experts say it's erasing gains made through the Clean Air Act.
