Dick DeLaney spent 21 years as the head men’s basketball coach at Division II West Chester University before retiring in 2008. He won 370 games at the helm of the Golden Rams and made such an impact on the school that later this month the basketball court at West Chester will be named in honor of him and former women’s basketball coach, Deirdre Kane.
In Episode #226 of “1-on-1 with Matt Leon,” Matt catches up with DeLaney to look back on his career. They talk about his long run of success at West Chester, what it will mean to have his name on the court, look back at his two stints as an assistant for Hall of Famer Herb Magee and much more.
