Tina Sloan Green is a true Philadelphia legend. A trailblazing athlete and coach, she was the first African American to play on the US National Women's Lacrosse Team. Then she became the first African American women's college lacrosse coach in the country. She transformed the Temple University lacrosse program, leading the Owls to three national championships. And if that's not enough, she also co-founded the Black Women in Sport Foundation.
In Episode #22 of "1-on-1 with Matt Leon," Matt sits down with Sloan Green to reflect on her remarkable career. They talk about her time at Temple, breaking barriers as a female African American athlete, and her work with the Black Women in Sport Foundation: blackwomeninsport.org.
