In search of a permanent home, Philly Greyhound bus terminal could move again by Labor Day

  • As Republicans and Democrats go to the polls in Pennsylvania, a million voters statewide are shut out of the process because they’re not registered with either party. As KYW’s City Hall bureau chief Pat Loeb reports Pennsylvania is one of only 10 states that still restrict participation in primaries.
  • Philadelphia’s nomadic intercity charter bus terminal could move again by the end of the summer, according to a neighborhood group. KYW’s Mike DeNardo reports.
  • The list of charges against the Montgomery County middle schooler accused of brutally attacking another student last week could soon grow. Police say the same student swung at a deputy inside the courtroom. Some parents and students in the North Penn School District are calling for school officials to step down over their handling of the assault, as we hear from KYW’s Conner Barkon.
  • A Voorhees man has been arrested and charged for his alleged involvement in a fatal crash on the Black Horse Pike earlier this month. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office says this happened on April 3rd just after 2 pm. in Hamilton Township. The investigation found 30-year-old Stephen Sirch was speeding along the Black Horse Pike near High Bank Road when he collided with another vehicle, killing 29-year-old Karina Castillo of Clementon. Sirch is charged with vehicular homicide. He was being held at the county jail pending a detention hearing.
  • A recent report from a non-profit in Camden NJ says students there not only gained back learning loss from the pandemic, but they are performing at the highest level in a decade. KYW South Jersey reporter Mike Dougherty has more.
