• The family of 12-year-old Malinda Hoagland, who died in May after years of alleged abuse at the hands of her father and his fiancée, is suing the Chester County agencies and schools that the suit claims failed to protect her.
• New Jersey state Sen. Declan O’Scanlon wants the attorney general to look deeper into the finances of the Salem City School District after a recent audit uncovered some potentially wasteful spending there.
• A group of 12-year-olds from Bucks County has made it all the way to Williamsport, Pennsylvania for the Little League World Series.
