As the Eagles kicked off their season in Brazil, Aramark food service workers at Lincoln Financial Field back in South Philly made it three of three arenas where workers have voted to authorize a strike amid ongoing negotiations with the company.

Philadelphia mayor Cherelle Parker says she’s proud of the one year contract extension the city negotiated with white collar workers in District Council 47. She called the 4.4% raise in the agreement "historic."
Philadelphia authorities have charged a teenager for two murders in the last few weeks, including the shooting death of Philly rap artist YBC Dul, and police say that same teen may be connected to more shootings. 
It's a milestone for one of the city's affordable housing initiatives, as the "Turn the Key" program reaches 100 houses sold.
The Pennsylvania House Transportation Committee got an update on Reading-to-Philly passenger train service, amid optimism this time around, the plan may actually become reality.

New Jersey State Police said two people were killed in a crash that shut down a 3-mile stretch of northbound Route 55 for hours on Thursday. Investigators said one of the drivers had crossed over onto the wrong side of the road.
Philadelphia City Council started its fall session with a flurry of new legislation, including bills to protect bikers and pedestrians, restrict mobile harm-reduction services, update EV charging rules, and protect libraries from censorship.
