Levittown man accused of beheading father is competent to stand trial, judge says

  • Pennsylvania Superior Court has reinstated a third-degree murder charge against a bouncer accused of fatally punching a man outside of a Center City bar, the District Attorney’s Office announced Thursday.
  • A Bucks County judge has determined that the 32-year-old man accused of killing and beheading his father in their Levittown home, then posting a lengthy video to YouTube calling his militia to arms, is mentally competent to stand trial.
  • Speeders and red-light runners, beware. Police have taken note that, since the start of the pandemic, more drivers are ignoring the rules of the road, and they will be cracking down this month along two busy stretches in the southwest and northeast parts of the city.
  • Several businesses in the city of Chester are getting part of a $2 million facelift to help boost the look and economy of downtown.
