Around 1,000 people packed the gym of Wissahickon High School in Montgomery County Monday to hear Gov. Josh Shapiro and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer stump for Kamala Harris.
The parents of Barbara Friedes, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia doctor who was killed nearly two weeks ago when a suspected drunk driver slammed into her bicycle in Center City, have vowed not to let their daughter's death become just "another statistic."
The new school year begins before Labor Day for the Philadelphia School District and many charter schools, and students are already preparing.
