A man is found dead inside his crashed vehicle along a stretch of the Roosevelt Blvd extension in North Philadelphia Wednesday afternoon. KYW’s John McDevitt reports police say the victim suffered a gunshot wound and the publics help is needed in finding the shooter.
The Fire Department says close to a dozen people were displaced after a partial house collapse in North Philadelphia. As KYW’s Nina Baratti tells us, luckily nobody was hurt but neighbors are rattled.
Newly-hired Philadelphia school teachers have started orientation. We get the story from KYW education reporter Mike DeNardo.
Rain was falling again in South Jersey just hours after crews worked to assist people affected by flooding in neighborhoods along the Delaware River. KYW South Jersey reporter Mike Dougherty tells us officials are asking people to avoid driving tonight if possible.

Republican vice presidential hopeful JD Vance made a campaign stop in South Philadelphia hours before Kamala Harris' rally. He criticized the Biden-Harris administration on a variety of domestic and international issues, including the cost of living, crime and immigration.
The Philadelphia Parking Authority is doubling its yearly fees for parking in residential neighborhoods.
A number of National Night Out events were held in Philadelphia and across our region to help engage in the community and build positive relationships.
A special STEM program taking place at Drexel University is helping young women break into the field.

One of the men charged in the shooting at a Northeast Philly bus stop that injured eight students earlier this year, has pleaded guilty to some of the charges — as the rest of the defendants await their day in court.
