• A group of Swarthmore College students camped out in the middle of campus on Thursday as part of a pro-Palestinian protest, the same demonstration as swaths of other student groups that have taken over Columbia, Yale and schools across the country. 
• City Council on Thursday approved eight of Mayor Cherelle Parker’s nominees for the Philadelphia Board of Education. Council leaders say they will not consider the ninth nominee, but the mayor is not backing down.
• Four people, including a pregnant teen, were killed on Wednesday in a high-speed chase with Pennsylvania State Police in Delaware County, when the car they were in crashed.
• The Sixers pulled off their first win in the series against the New York Knicks, a close game where they pulled and stayed ahead in the third quarter.
