• A woman was struck and killed by a pickup truck just as she got out of her own car in Hunting Park early Thursday morning, police said. Officials are looking for the hit-and-run driver.
• A man riding his mountain bike in South Philadelphia Wednesday night was shot and killed in a targeted attack by three shooters, according to investigators. Police said they fired dozens of rounds at the victim.
• More than a dozen mayors from around the country are meeting in Philadelphia Thursday for the African American Chamber of Commerce’s fourth annual National Convening of Black Mayors.
• Philly's first urgent care for mental health needs is set to open at the beginning of next month, and city officials hope the new clinic can help offset the demand for behavioral health care.
