The month of July is dedicated to Nelson Mandela Month.  This year marks the 10th anniversary of Madiba’s passing in December 2013, commemorated with the call to action “The Legacy Lives on Through You.”

Madiba once said, "Education is the great engine of personal development. It is through education that the daughter of a peasant can become a doctor, that the son of a mine worker can become the head of the mine; that a child of farm workers can become the president of a great nation." In the context of high youth unemployment rates and the need for socioeconomic upliftment, education becomes even more crucial.

In honour of Mandela Month, we take a look a look at Madiba's legacy of the transformative power of education and how we continue his vision to use education as an instrument of change and empowerment.  Madiba saw education as a powerful tool for reducing poverty and transforming lives, particularly in South Africa. Harnessing the power of education has the potential to reshape lives and our communities.  This is a cornerstone of Nelson Mandela's legacy.
