 A preliminary agreement has been made between the city of Phoenix and the union representing Phoenix police officers, known as the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association (PLEA). The tentative contract would include several reforms to current policies in hopes of building trust between police and the community as well as provide greater transparency within the police department.  During the April 7th city council meeting the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City and PLEA is expected to be presented for approval.
