Ben is from the second generation of Blooms running the nursery, and has developed a passion for native plants, which are a sub-specialty.
Edie and Ben spent the hour discussing not only the ins and outs of being a "nursery brat," growing up around plant operations; they know many of the same people - but also the many options for garden and landscaping plants we have here in the Bay Area, what some of the factors are in choosing the right ones to grow, together they unfurled some of the myths around using Native plants in your landscape.
