Vista Bank works to help North Texans improve financial literacy

As the November election approaches, student loan debt is emerging as a major issue influencing American voters, regardless of whether they hold student debt themselves. 
According to the survey by Bankrate, student loan debt will have a major influence on the votes of about 20% of Americans. For those with personal student debt, the number rises to 29%.

As Independence Day approaches, we take a moment to honor and thank our nation’s veterans for their service. While many of us are familiar with the sacrifices our veterans have made, the health challenges they face are not as well known. 
Veterans are twice as likely than those who haven’t served in the military to develop ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. 
KRLD's John Liddle was joined by US Army Veteran, Elizabeth Fassler, to learn about her journey of living with ALS, the importance of raising awareness among the veteran community, and how others impacted by the disease can get involved in MTPA’s Share Your Story program.

North Texas saw some fast-moving low clouds Tuesday morning with temperatures in the low to mid-70s. By late Tuesday afternoon, there will be a few scattered showers and storms moving in from the southeast, but most will stay dry. Afternoon highs will reach the low 90s, with heat index values near 100 degrees.
