Texas just became the first state to administer one million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.  Still, complaints persist about the distribution process.  There is confusion over who qualifies to get the shot, how to sign up for the vaccine and other issues.  Is there a better way?  Dr. Timothy Bray is the director of the Institute for Urban Policy Research at UT-Dallas.  He spoke with KRLD's Chris Sommer..

What wild weather we've already seen so far this Spring. Almost like clock work, we see a chance for rain each week... with some storms having the potential to become strong to severe. 

It won't be long, however, before we start to see scorching temperatures for the summertime. New predictions for the temperatures during the months of this upcoming May thru July show way above normal. 

Daniel Roby joined the KRLD Afternoon News. He is the CEO of Austin Street Center, an organization that assists with those North Texans that are unhoused. Wheather it's extreme cold, heat or severe thunderstorms- they must stay ready.

Texas Woman's University is partnering with a nonprofit to build a preschool designed for the children of students. The school will be tuition-free and open to a mix of children of TWU students and families in Denton.
