As Roe v Wade was overturned in Friday's landmark 6-3 ruling by the US Supreme Court, some are concerned about the impact on women of color.
According to a February report by the CDC, the "2020 maternal mortality rate for non-Hispanic Black women was 55.3 deaths per 100,000 live births, 2.9 times the rate for non-Hispanic White women (19.1)."
Texas Woman’s University has a professor, Danielle Phillips Cunningham, who is chair of the multicultural women and gender studies department talked with KRLD's John Liddle about the impact of the ruling on women and women of color.
