Several fire crews respond to fire at a business in Johnson County

Dallas Area Rapid Transit says crews have been working "continuously" to repair tracks damaged by a crash Sunday morning. A Dallas Fire Rescue truck plunged off the elevated highway separating Downtown from Deep Ellum about 6 a.m. Sunday.

DART finishes repairs on damaged tracks after fire engine accident last week

Denton police have arrested a jailer after he offered a newly-released inmate a strange ride in his car.

Police say when they released a woman from their jail 22-year-old Miguel Mederos pulled up as she was walking away and offered her a ride in his vehicle. She accepted and told detectives that Mederos made several sexual comments toward her during the car ride. Even after he dropped her off he made sexual advances toward her via text message that night. Mederos was fired after investigators found he intentionally subjected the woman to sexual harassment by requesting sexual favors...using his job as a jailer as a backdrop. He was subsequently arrested for official oppression with a bond set at $2,500.
