Republicans say they need to stay unified after the president's speech. Senator Ted Cruz says Joe Biden's decision to step aside has "thrilled" other Democrats.

But on his "Verdict" podcast, Cruz says the amount of money Kamala Harris has raised shows Democrats are now "relieved." He says the Republican convention showed his party is "unified," but he says they can't get overconfident.

Republican Congressman Keith Self says he stopped counting Joe Biden's lies two minutes into the speech last night. Fellow Republican Beth Van Duyne says Kamala Harris failed as "border czar" and would push what she calls a "radical policy" leading to more illegal immigration and crime.
