Thursday, we told you about the shooting involving a police officer in Dallas. Now, we're learning more about what led to the shooting. KRLD's Alan Scaia has the latest.
Dallas Police say officers working undercover got an alert from a camera system that takes pictures of license plates and checks them against a database of stolen cars or those involved in alerts.
Chief Eddie Garcia says they called for uniformed officers to arrest the guys inside, but when they got to the complex near 75 and Loop 12, Garcia says the car started moving, hitting two other cars. police fired, hitting one person who ran off. They arrested him and took him to the hospital, arrested two others but one person is still on the loose.
One person had an active murder warrant. garcia says they'll release more information next week.
