Monday is the first day of practice for high school football players across the state of Texas, and coaches and trainers are working to keep student-athletes safe and hydrated in the summer heat.

Steve Keasler, the athletic director at Carroll ISD in Southlake, joined the KRLD Morning News to discuss precautions in place to protect players.
