First-time nominees Carly Simon, Dolly Parton, Duran Duran, Eminem and Lionel Richie are going into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The 2022 inductees announced Wednesday also include Pat Benatar, Eurythmics, Judas Priest and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.

This year's Rock Hall induction ceremony is set for Nov. 5 in Los Angeles.  It will air at a later date on HBO and HBO Max.

The death toll in Monday's Israeli strike on Lebanon has grown to more than 490 people, according to Lebanese authorities. The attack is part of Israel's attempt to move Hezbollah away from the Lebanon-Israel border, and it comes less than a week after an attack on communication devices killed dozens in Lebanon. It raises a lot of questions about whether this is an all-out war, and if not -- where does it end? CBS News military analyst Jeff McCausland joined KRLD on Tuesday.
