Inside the Mind of Chris: Mother of Graves Interview

Mem — vocalist and founding force behind German thrash metal legends Exumer — pulls into the Krazy Train and Jasmin St. Claire gets the full story behind one of the most ferocious thrash albums of 2025. Death Mask Messiah, dropping August 28th on Metal Blade Records, is Exumer's most aggressive record in decades — and it was born out of a renewed obsession with the Waco siege, David Koresh, media manipulation, and the cult of the modern messiah figure. Mem breaks down the album concept, the Silent Hill-influenced pyramid-head imagery in the video, references to Leviticus that hit harder than most metal bands would dare, and the singles "Allocated Savagery" and "Death Mask Messiah" that set the tone for exactly what kind of record this is. He gets into Exumer's relationship with Metal Blade Records dating back to 2012, why the seven-year gap since Hostile Defiance wasn't laziness but a pandemic, a lineup overhaul, and a writing process that refused to be rushed — and how two younger members on bass and drums injected a speed and aggression into this record that the band hasn't had since the 1985 originals.

Shayan — Iranian-born, UK-based extreme metal force behind Trivax — pulls into the Krazy Train and this conversation goes places most podcasts would never have the guts to go. Jasmin St. Claire sits down with a man who discovered Metallica through illegal satellite television in a country where playing heavy metal could get you arrested, packed up a B.C. Rich guitar, left Iran, and built one of the most culturally loaded extreme metal projects in the underground today. Trivax isn't just a band — it's a manifesto. Old-school extreme metal fused with Middle Eastern musical elements, lyrics rooted in Iranian heritage, Zoroastrian philosophy, and a direct, unapologetic assault on the Iranian theocracy. Songs like "Operation Ramadan" dig into the horror of the Iran-Iraq War. The album The Great Satan says exactly what it means. And their fourth record — recorded for Osmose Productions — is already on the way. Shayan's Promethean message of personal agency and accountability hits differently when the man delivering it lived the consequences of what happens when a society strips both from its people.

Former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion Simon Gotch — one half of the beloved Vaudevillains alongside Aiden English — pulls into the Krazy Train

Former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion Simon Gotch — one half of the beloved Vaudevillains alongside Aiden English — pulls into the Krazy Train and Jasmin St. Claire gets the story that never made it to SmackDown. Gotch takes it all the way back to Heatwave 2000, the moment that lit the fire, and walks through his early training days, his indie grind under multiple coaches, and how a kid who grew up watching wrestling in the XPW ECW parking lot scene eventually signed a WWE developmental contract and became one of NXT's most uniquely styled tag team acts. He breaks down the TKO corporate takeover of WWE, why he'd never step into Power Slap, and the honest truth about how many times the financial grind of the indie circuit made him seriously consider walking away from the business altogether.
