Why Tahoe's Tuesday Avalanche Was So Deadly

The search continues this morning for a missing skier who’s presumed dead following an avalanche in Tahoe’s Donner Summit Region. Eight people have been confirmed dead. Six of the skiers, who were part of an overnight backcountry skiing group, were rescued Tuesday night. One person is still missing but is presumed dead.
