Why LA's Drop in Family Homelessness May Not Tell the Full Story

While the overall homeless population increased in LA County by about 8% in 2025, the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority says the number of unhoused families is down. An analysis of the data by LAist found a 34-percent decrease in the number of families living on the streets.
