It’s hard to believe, but it's been a full year since Governor Gavin Newsom officially reopened the state from the COVID-19 lockdown phase. Since then, we’ve been hit with both a Delta variant surge and an Omicron variant surge with positivity rates rising again in much of the country. To talk more about what’s changed and what hasn’t over the last year, KQED's Natalia Navarro talks with infectious disease expert and professor of Medicine Dr. Peter Chin-Hong of UCSF.
