What SF's Election Results Mean for the Future of Muni

San Francisco’s Muni is bracing for service reductions in light of the failure of Proposition L in last week’s election. That measure would have taxed app-based ride-hailing services like Lyft and Uber to help fund Muni, which has been dealing with financial challenges and low ridership from the pandemic. Proposition L DID pass with a majority vote, but it will not take effect because a competing proposition on the San Francisco ballot got more votes.  Here to explain is KQED’s Dan Brekke.
