BY THEMSELVES. Long  BEFORE the pandemic, One popular option that East Bay commuters used … was the CASUAL CARPOOL.  People hopping in cars with strangers to cross the Bay Bridge. Faster...cheaper...usually nicer. But it's a choice that's almost completely disappeared. KQED's Dan Brekke has been looking into WHY… and what it might take to bring *back the casual carpool …
