It’s the last stretch in the race for Oakland’s next mayor. Voting ends tomorrow. The springtime special election follows the recall of the city’s former mayor Sheng Thao. The two frontrunners in the race are former Oakland City Councilmember Loren Taylor and former East Bay Congresswoman Barbara Lee. Since they began their campaigns, the political sparring between them has been intense, as they make their case to voters for the future of the Town. KQED’s Alex Hall has been covering the race, and she joins us for the latest.
