UCSF to Assist Navajo Nation With Coronavirus Cases

UCSF Medical Center is preparing to send a team of nurses and doctors to Navajo Nation to help manage the spread of the new coronavirus. The American Indian reservation whose territory includes parts of Arizona, New Mexico and Utah is bracing for a surge in COVID-19 cases. UCSF Doctor Sriram Shamasunder co-founded the fellowship program known as HEAL that is spearheading the delegation. He spoke with KQED’s Brian Watt.
