UC Berkeley Scientists Figuring Out How to Better Track Carbon Emissions

California has a goal to achieve net zero carbon pollution by 2045. But how do we know we’re getting there? 

The state is keeping track of this  … using a broad range of information from big fossil fuel companies down to the number of cars on the road. It takes complex accounting.

So scientists at UC Berkeley are pitching a new WAY to track these emissions in real time.
